The Chakra Energies

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed.

These chakras, or energy centers, function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects decisions we make concerning how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close these valves when we decide what to think, and what to feel, and through which perceptual filter we choose to experience the world around us.

The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness. The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body. They interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

All of your senses, all of your perceptions, all of your possible states of awareness, everything it is possible for you to experience, can be divided into seven categories. Each category can be associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness.

When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends upon why you feel the stress. The tension in the chakra is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with that chakra, and transmitted to the parts of the body controlled by that plexus. When the tension continues over a period of time, or to a particular level of intensity, the person creates a symptom on the physical level.

The symptom speaks a language that reflects the idea that we each create our reality, and the metaphoric significance of the symptom becomes apparent when the symptom is described from that point of view. Thus, rather than saying, "I can't see," the person would describe it as keeping themselves from seeing something. "I can't walk," means the person has been keeping themselves from walking away from a situation in which they are unhappy. And so on.

The symptom served to communicate to the person through their body what they had been doing to themselves in their consciousness. When the person changes something about their way of being, getting the message communicated by the symptom, the symptom has no further reason for being, and it can be released, according to whatever the person allows themselves to believe is possible.

    We believe everything is possible.

We believe that anything can be healed. It's just a question of how to do it.

Understanding the chakras allows you to understand the relationship between your consciousness and your body, and to thus see your body as a map of your consciousness. It gives you a better understanding of yourself and those around you.

Chakras are the sacred centers within that carry us on our journey toward greater Awareness and Aliveness. As the architecture of the soul, they provide an important map for our wholeness and transformation, both personally and globally. As an ancient spiritual system, they show the path to enlightenment and integration.

Kundalini chakras are energy centers where kundalini energy rest in dormant state. The chakras are physical realities and one can locate seven chakras on one’s body along the spinal cord region. A chakra literally means a wheel. The chakras are in continuous spinning motion at set frequencies.

According to Kundalini concepts, these energy centers have lotus like petals. The one at the base (Mooladhara chakra) has four petals and the highest one (Sahasrara chakra) chakra has one thousand petals and resembles the light of thousand suns shining together. There can be many thousands of sub chakras located at the areas of lower chakras.

Mother Earth's Chakras

Our Mother Earth is a living being, with its own creative, evolutionary will, and with its own methods for enacting that purpose. If we look at nature, we discover that design and innovation – the architect and the inventor - are at work. What is the goal of this effort? Alone, among the planets in the solar system, Earth is the matrix for life. What are the maximum potentialities for life? It is the true will of the Earth to find the answers to this question, and to communicate these results to other laboratories of life throughout the universe.

Before we proceed any further, an important issue must be addressed: Do you believe that the Earth is alive? If so, is this a good thing? Lions and tigers and bears… do we really want to introduce another species? Humans have sought to dominate and control all other species. What if they can’t enslave the Earth? Horror of horrors – what if the Earth can not be controlled, and doesn’t favour the human race over other species? Some people fear death; others fear life. What if Earth’s experiments within the laboratory of life are not yet complete?

Trust is the foundation, or prerequisite, for communication. Does the Earth have any good reason to trust you? If so, then it becomes possible to learn the art of listening to the Earth. The Earth is not afraid; it has no secrets. Yet the enigma of life remains… Listen to the word of the Earth, and unveil the mystery of life. Trust the Earth. Harmonise your own individual purpose with the Earth's will. When trust is mutual between yourself and the Earth, then communication becomes revelatory in its power – the Opener of the Way removes all obstacles between the present situation and the Holy Grail. Find the Grail, and you will understand the purpose of the Earth.

How does the Earth communicate its information to other species? If we study the living structure of the world, as an organism, then we will know where and when to listen. It takes energy to transmit information. The greatest concentrations of energy encoded with information are emanating from the great Earth Chakras.

What is an Earth Chakra?
Geography teaches us about the continents, oceans, mountains, and rivers of the world. Geology studies stone formations – the skeleton of the Earth. These sciences investigate the more material aspects of the planetary body. The study of Earth Chakras is more akin to acupuncture, in that we are exploring the more subtle energy structures of the Earth.

Earth chakras are like bodily organs that are vital to the health of the world, and to all living beings dependent upon the various environments provided by the world. Each chakra serves a different function, which is two-fold:

1. To maintain the overall global health
2. To transmit and receive energy encoded with information.

There is one great Earth Chakra located on each continent, with the exception of Antarctica. (Antarctica has major subtle organs also. Their locations and functions will be described at a later time.) At the centre of each chakra is a major sacred site. From this sacred centre, the chakra expands in a circular fashion – its radius extending for hundreds of miles. If an earth chakra was operating in a state of optimum health, the approximate radius would, in most cases, be approximately 777 miles. It must be remembered that this is only an average figure, as all chakras are living organs which expand and contract, according to the complexity of conditions which may affect them.

Earth chakras also have depth and height. Thus, the overall shape of an earth chakra is spherical, or like a flying saucer, with a maximum circumference on the Earth’s surface, and with vertical extensions into the atmosphere, and in a subterranean direction to connect with the Earth’s deeper structures. Transmissions from the world chakras often take this same shape – sphere or saucer – as they travel through air, water, or earth.

The sacred site at the centre of a chakra largely defines the purpose of the world organ. Myths, legends and archetypal symbolisms traditional to the site illuminate the function of each earth chakra. Also, the regional human culture in each area takes on some of the “flavour” of the earth chakra located in its vicinity.

Each chakra is a dynamic vortex of subtle energies. In some situations, these forces may spin and spiral in either clockwise or anti-clockwise directions. In other circumstances, the power of an earth chakra may be directed in a straight line along what are termed dragon paths, ley lines, or song lines. These connective pathways are analogous to the human circulatory, nervous, or acupuncture meridian systems. The great ley arteries of the Earth connect one continental earth chakra to another.

The Earth can not be understood in isolation from the rest of the solar system. In particular, the rhythms of the moon and sun are vital. Also, the various movements of the Earth itself are important. All of these terrestrial, lunar, and solar movements have a profound effect upon the earth chakras. For this reason it is essential to always ask this question: When are the most auspicious times to interact with the various earth chakras? Each chakra has its own place in time.

In addition to the solar system, the earth chakras are also open to the forces of the four elements – fire, air, water, and earth. For this reason, all earth chakras have their major horizontal dimensions conjunct the Earth’s surface, where they are in direct contact with sun, air, and water. There are no subterranean or submarine earth chakras.

The world has a heart chakra. It also has will, vitality, and communicative centres. Each individual chakra has its own unique contribution to make to the health and destiny of the world. It is important to remember – as we locate and define the functions of the earth chakras – that their continual interaction among themselves is the key to a greater quality of life on the planet. No earth chakra acts in isolation to the others.

The Universe's Chakras

There is a correlation between chakras, dimensions, and heavenly bodies. Our body/mind is in the 3rd dimension physical reality, our Mother the Earth and Her aura the astral plane extends through the 4th dimension, our Father the Sun is One and our Creative Source in the 5th dimension and Christ Consciousness frees us from all boundaries so we disperse into every atom of Existence in the 6th dimension.

The 3rd chakra rules the body/mind complex and is the highest functioning chakra for many incarnate beings. Working down, the 2nd chakra just above the navel opens the door to the emotions and desires. Beneath this is the root chakra connecting us to our instinctual nature including flight/fight and sex. For many this is the whole of their perspective. They focus on their local environment and live simple lives.

Many humans are evolving from the 3rd dimension to the 4th right now. This is the signature of the Aquarian age and the destination for 2012. We reach this vibration frequency when we open our heart, the 4th chakra. Then we can connect with the Holy Spirit of our Mother Gaia, and express her Will in the world. We sing her song and feel fulfilled in living our purpose. The vision of the garden is returned.

Our 5th chakra is the governor of manifestation. From here we become one with our Father the Sun by becoming Creators in our own right. We give up the personal for the profound and unite with the Source by serving universal truth. In art, speech, and the written word we express as a conduit of the 5th dimensional cosmic mind. In the 4th dimension lies the myth behind that which is born in the 3rd. The 5th contains all myths at once.

We reincarnate as we orbit the Earth in the 4th dimension. We dive down into the 3rd, give up our body and return to the 4th. We then dive down again and again, until we remember the full continuity of our being. Recovering all experience from all lives and piercing the veil of illusion, we begin to build momentum to escape the dense gravity of the Earth. We are done here when we can lift out of the 4th dimension and all that goes with it.

This is only possible with the help of the Sun. There is a process of reincarnating around the Earth, but to even enter the Solar System we needed a light body. Sol/Ra (the Sun) gave us each a Soul and allowed us passageway into the Solar System. The Soul starts out in the 5th dimension and then dives down into the 4th dimensional astral planes of the Earth. Then down into the 3rd dimension existence as a body on the surface of the planet.

Previously beings were allowed to undertake the process of embodiment to experience the planet Minerva (asteroid planet), and also Mars. It is in the plan for the future to have beings take bodies which will work with Venus. One can enjoy the outer planets without taking a body. That is why they fill us with so much awe and inspiration. They remind us of our Soul and the light feeling of freedom we had when we last sailed by them.

With Sol’s/Ra's help we can go back through the portal which brought us into this solar system. It is not easy because we have to leave the Soul behind to get back out. For those who seek to go beyond this point, they will open their third eye 6th chakra and witness the universal secrets first hand. Able to perceive beyond any and all limitation you merge with life itself and are suddenly everywhere. All stars and planets live in you, the Christ Consciousness.

Meditation

There are many ways of meditating and meditation means different things to different people. Meditation is part of normal daily practice for a great number of people within some religions. Whatever the word 'meditation' means to you the practice can be enormously helpful as a way of calming the mind and finding your own inner peace.  This place of inner peace is where we can open up to our higher self - without the 'interference' of the ego or intellect - where we can find our higher intelligence and knowing.

Meditation can be achieved by focusing the mind on a particular object, for example a flower, or on a simple shape, on a sound, on an image (visualization), or by focusing on the breathing. There are many very helpful tapes and CD's around to help with meditation as they will talk the listener through the stages of relaxation and some will help to build a 'picture' in the minds eye of tranquility.   With practice, you will find it becomes easier and easier to meditate and to be able to 'switch off' any time, anywhere, when you are feeling the need for some peace.

Breathing

Breathing is very important - and as obvious as that sounds, it is surprising how few of us actually do breathe 'properly'. Breathing is something we all take for granted and are inclined to forget about. However, shallow breathing can often be a symptom of stress. Similarly, shallow breathing can result in fatigue and stress due to the intake of insufficient oxygen.  Shallow breathing can also result in dizzy turns as insufficient oxygen is getting to the brain. Since approximately 90% of our energy is created by oxygen and nearly all the body's actions regulated by it - it is rather important that we get enough of it!!

Go somewhere quiet and lie down or sit in a chair with good back support so that your body is straight, allowing you to breathe deeply and comfortably. Make sure you are not wearing any tight clothing. Tell yourself to relax. Work on every part of your body from the top of your head to your toes, consciously relaxing each part. Concentrate on your breathing, taking deep in-breaths, through the nose, letting the breath fill your body, relaxing and calming. Then breathe out through your nose or mouth, exhaling all negativity and stress and ridding your body of the toxins which build up there. Repeat this a number of times - if you can only manage 10 minutes that is fine. Eventually you will be able to practice this anywhere, any time, when you are feeling stressed. Try not to hunch your shoulders as you breathe in - try to consciously relax the shoulders and neck and breathe from the abdomen - watch your tummy expand as you breathe in.

There are a number of breathing techniques which are taught by practitioners of different disciplines, either on a one to one basis or in a group, such as a workshop perhaps.   If you have a particular medical problem, then a good place to start is with your doctor, who will be able to advise you.
